Join the discussion …. in WA

Australian Forum on Sexuality, Education and Health (AFSEH)

In 2012, a group of professionals, community workers, academics and practitioners from across health, education, community work, HIV/AIDS, sexuality, gender and cultural studies established the Australia Forum on Sexuality, Education and Health (AFSEH). Already meetings have been held on a variety of topics in Brisbane, Darwin, Melbourne and Sydney. The Forum’s first national conference will take place in early 2015.

Professor Peter Aggleton from the Centre for Social Research in Health at UNSW Australia, who helped set up the Forum, will be in Perth late July to participate in the seminar “HIV and Mobile Populations” for the Department of Health, SiREN (Sexual Health and Blood-Borne Virus Applied Research and Evaluation Network) and the WA AIDS Council.

To take further advantage of his visit, on Wednesday 30th July, a meeting of interested professionals will be held. Peter will discuss the Forum and the possibility of holding one or two similar events in WA.
